Woman Wears Wedding Dress To Get Covid Vaccine After Pandemic Had ¡®Cancelled¡¯ Her Reception Last Year
The woman could not wear her reception dress as the function was "cancelled" to pandemic induced lockdown last year. Now, she wanted to make the moment memorable and showed up in her wedding dress to get the vaccine for covid-19.
A lot of wedding plans were ruined due to COVID-19 placing countries in lockdown and social distancing becoming the norm. Since weddings are big events with lots of people in attendance, they were one of the first gatherings to be banned to prevent the spread of the virus.
Sarah Studley's wedding reception was cancelled due to the pandemic in November last year and the dress she had bought had gone to waste. However, the woman from USA's Baltimore had a fun idea up her sleeve - she got vaccinated for the virus while wearing the same dress, reported Washington Post.
She wanted to make the moment memorable and showed up at M&T Bank Stadium dressed as a bride ready to walk down the aisle.
Studley got engaged to Brian Horlor in November 2019 and had plans to get hitched a year later with an event that would have had at least 100 people. However, all their plans were cancelled when the pandemic happened and the couple got married in a small civil ceremony which was followed by dinner with only close friends and family.
Not wanting to give up, the couple still wanted to have a reception party and was planning to have one in June this year but since things haven't calmed down at all yet, the couple decided it is best to let go of their plan. However, the dress was already bought and Studley wanted to put it to use.
So, get vaccinated in the dress sounded like the perfect thing to do. She was also inspired by someone who wore a full-length sequin gown to a vaccine appointment in February this year.
