IPL 2025: Rohit Sharma breaks 'cursed' 20-run barrier; but Travis Head stands in his way

When it comes to batting, nothing seems to be going in favour of Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Rohit Sharma. The cricketer, who now comes in as an Impact Player, did the same in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Fans were excited to see him smashing the ball as he even managed to cross the 20-run mark, something he hadn't been able to do in the past couple of matches.

However, SRH captain Pat Cummins soon took to bowling, and Rohit Sharma's nemesis, Travis Head, caught the ball at covers. Rohit shook his head multiple times as he walked back to the pavilion for just 26 runs off 16 balls, including 3 sixes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game at Wankhede Stadium.

His wicket, that too at the hands of Pat Cummins and Travis Head sparked memes on X (formerly known as Twitter). Many recalled the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 which Indian lost at home to the Aussies while some just questioned the 'Hitman's form.
