Rumours around Grand Theft Auto VI, a.k.a. GTA 6, continue to grow as fans feel anxious and can¡¯t wait any longer for the launch of the game. Amid this, with every passing day, new rumours surface online regarding the fresh details from maps to characters and more, but it seems your wait is over now, as a tweet which is now going viral by Rockstar Games developer Obbe Vermeij seems to hint at the release date.
Vermeiji spent about 14 years at Rockstar Games as a technical director, and during his stint at Rockstar Games, he worked on various projects like Vice City, Andreas and GTA IV. However, he left the firm in 2009.

Interestingly, last year in September, when he was working on GTA 4, which was also delayed, he had tweeted that the decision to delay GTA 4 was made four months or so before the original release date. ¡°Any further, and it's hard to make the call. Rockstar is probably not in a position to determine whether they will hit 2025 until May-ish.¡±
Additionally, he also mentioned that it is believed GTA 6 will be sold for over 10 years, with no competition to be concerned about. The game will not be released until Rockstar has complete satisfaction with it, regardless of what was stated in the trailer.
¡°I have no inside info. Didn't talk to anyone,¡± he added in the post.
The decision to delay gtaIV was made 4 months or so before the original release date. Any further and it's hard to make the call. R* is probably not in a position to determine whether they will hit 2025 until May-ish.

Well, according to an Indy100 report, Take-Two¡¯s next earnings call is on May 15, which is when an update is expected on the timeline of GTA 6, even if it¡¯s just that the game remains on track to release in the autumn. Hence, it is better to have low expectations and be surprised, after all.
