Bedsheet Turned Into Projector Screen: Indian Woman's Clever 'Jugaad' Wins Hearts
A Desi woman came up with the idea of using a bedsheet instead of a projector screen. The photo of their improvised projector screen quickly went viral on social media.
We've often talked about desis and their ability to find creative solutions or 'jugaad.'
It's a part of our everyday lives, and when it's shared online, it strikes a chord with people like nothing else. When her husband was looking for a motorised projector screen, a desi woman came up with the idea of using a bedsheet instead. The photo of their improvised projector screen quickly went viral on social media, receiving widespread acclaim. Here's how it looks.

Jugaad: I was telling me wife we can install a rollable motorised projector screen in the room... it will cost around 20-25k.

Ranjit, a Twitter user, recently shared a story about how his wife's jugaad helped him save thousands of rupees. He had been talking about getting a motorised projector screen for their room, which would cost around Rs. 20-25K. His wife, on the other hand, had a better idea. She took a white bedsheet and clipped it to their cupboard, and they had a makeshift projector screen.
While any white sheet can be used as a makeshift projector screen, the quality of the projected image may not be as good as a specialised projector screen. Factors such as the material, texture, and thickness of the sheet can affect the image quality, and the sheet may not reflect the projected light as well as a proper projector screen would.
Also, wrinkles or folds in the sheet could cause distortions or shadows on the projected image. So while a bedsheet or any white sheet can be used as a temporary solution, investing in a proper projector screen may be a better long-term option for those who frequently use projectors.
The solution was a hit among the people on the internet
Desi users were ecstatic to see the woman's ingenuity, and many praised Indian housewives for their ability to devise cost-effective solutions to everyday problems. Some users even offered suggestions for improving the experience, such as ironing and straightening the sheet to avoid wrinkles on the top.
A man suggested, "Do a steam iron to that white cloth, it will be much better experience."
