Man Lands An Interview After Listing 'Googling' As One Of His Skills On CV, And Now Netizens Are Giving 'Pro' Tips
A Twitter user by the name of Cat McGee shared that her company called a guy for an interview who listed googling as one of his skills.
It is our resumes that actually get us an interview when we apply for a new job. So, naturally the presentation and content of our resumes are very important.
Our skills and experiences have to be in line with the job we are applying for. However, some people may still not know what to add and what not to in their resumes.
An instance of this went viral and it totally got us surprised. A woman named Cat McGee talked about how a man actually added 'googling' as a skill in his CV.
Her tweet said, "Got a CV today and the guy literally listed one of his skills as ¡®googling¡¯."

We¡¯re interviewing him
Even though this legit seems like a joke if it actually scored someone an interview does it make it an important skill?
The tweet went viral and a lot of people had a lot of views about it. Many shared other instances as well.
It is. The ability to find and verify the right information is a skill. https://t.co/GZFPFpfEYo

My resume says I can juggle. I can't, I just want to know how closely my interviewer is reading it.

Googling is an actual skill. There's a lot you can do that people aren't aware of. Ask the candidate what they'd search to find guest posting opportunities.

I am not talking about technical use of browser and google.
I am talking about writing the proper keywords, , excluding some or try and test different phrases
During interview for an investment banking job the MD asked me a brain teaser that required knowing the volume of Mt Fuji. He asked me how I would calculate that. I told him I¡¯d Google it. I got the job.

I¡¯m sorry, why would you interview someone who puts that as a skill and not Research as a skill?

I once saw a CV in the office which had "Winzip" in the proficiencies section.

Meanwhile I struggle second guessing if I should put or not every valid entry on mine ?
"Should I even put this third language?, I haven't spoken it in a while, so maybe not... hmm"
Now THAT would be an awesome technical interview.
