Notorious Robbers Uproot ATM And Flee With Entire Machine Packed With ? 12 Lakh Cash
The burglars fled after uprooting the ATM loaded with cash in 12 minutes and destroying the CCTV cameras.
Unidentified miscreants fled away with an ATM having over Rs 12 lakh cash after uprooting it in Rajasthan¡¯s Sawai Madhopur, police said on Thursday.
The incident happened Wednesday night at State Bank of India¡¯s ATM in Sarsaunp village, Station House Officer Tinu Sogarwal said.
The miscreants fled from the spot with the ATM having Rs 12.10 lakh cash, the SHO said. On the bank management¡¯s complaint, a case has been registered at Chauth ka Barwara police station, Sogarwal said.
The footage of CCTV cameras installed in the bank is being scanned to trace the robbers, police said.
A similar incident happened on 10th September when unknown robbers tied an ATM to a vehicle, uprooted it, and decamped with cash of nearly Rs 36 lakh kept in the ATM in the Jurhera area of Bharatpur district.
The incident happened the day after unidentified criminals fired shots in the neighborhood while attempting to rob an ATM but failed.
Given that the perpetrators of the event in Jurhera were armed with metal cutters and other tools to uproot the ATM, it is believed that the incident was indeed the work of an organized crime group.
