After Kurkure Milkshake, Someone Made A Chyawanprash Smoothie And Vir Das Is To Blame For It
Twitter user @tarikasingh shared an image of Chyawanprash smoothie with the caption Dedicated to @thevirdas. The reason she tagged Vir Das in her post is that in his latest Netflix release Vir Das: For India the comedian brings up Chyawanprash among things desis eat and drink. The unique recipe left him dumbfounded too.
Remember how our parents used to shove at least one spoon of Chyawanprash down our throats, when we were young? Most of us outgrew that, some developed a taste for it.
However, when it comes to making Chyawanprash interesting¡we don¡¯t really think about it right? I mean, no parent probably thought of smuggling it inside a cup of hot chocolate only so their kid would drink it.
But, after sweet maggi, gulab jamun pizza, kurkure milkshake and god knows what other weird food combinations, someone has found a ¡®recipe¡¯ for Chyawanprash smoothie, and credited the inspiration to celebrity Vir Das.

People were naturally disgusted just by the idea of a smoothie that has Chyawanprash in it, but some were curious to know the recipe, to which the woman replied, ¡®200 ml milk of choice, half an apple, 1 tbs peanut butter, 2 tsp flax seeds, 1 tsp Chyawanprash + lil bit honey!¡¯

Somehow the words seem like an oxymoron!! How can something like a smoothie be made from chawanprash? His description of it (fitting belching sounds) was pretty apt! Nevertheless, how did it taste?

What have you done, Vir Das?
