Khichdi 3 is confirmed, actor Jamnadas Majethia announced the return of Himanshu and Hansa

Get ready to say ¡°Prafullll!¡± one more time, because the wackiest Indian family is returning to the big screen with Khichdi 3¡ªand yes, it is as spicy, silly, and sassy as it sounds.

During a wholesome (read: hysterical) throwback session on Farah Khan¡¯s YouTube anniversary special, the OG Khichdi gang reunited, and while cooking literal khichdi, producer-actor Jamnadas Majethia threw in the ultimate garnish¡ªa full-blown third movie is in the works and will release in 2027.

Why 2027, you ask? Because that year marks a whopping 25 years of the iconic franchise and also of Majethia¡¯s production house. So obviously, he is planning a celebration with a ¡°zabardast picture¡± that promises to take fans on another bonkers ride.

Majethia, who plays the forever lovable Himanshu Chandrakant Sheth, revealed the big news mid-cookout, and fans have not been calm since. Imagine blending nostalgia, chaos, and ridiculous comedy into one pressure cooker of a film¡ªKhichdi 3 is basically that, but with extra ghee.

If that was not enough drama for your plate, he also revealed that Khichdi: The Movie will be re-releasing on World Laughter Day, May 4, 2025. Because what better way to celebrate laughter than by revisiting the madness of Praful¡¯s logic and Hansa¡¯s iconic ¡°Main toh thak gayi bhaaishaab¡±?

The franchise that started as a humble TV show in 2002 has grown into a full-fledged cinematic universe of its own.
