Meet The Girls Who Scored A Smashing 499/500 In 2019 CBSE Board Exams

It's that time of the year when lakhs of students go through an agonizing wait to know how much they scored in their board exams. And like every year, we hear of some impossible, out of the world scores.

This year, over 18 lakh candidates appeared for the examination. Out of them, 13 students shared the top position with 499 out of 500 marks, while 24 students bagged the second rank with 498 marks.

Here are three girls who scored 499/500:

1. Divjot Kaur Jaggi From Ambala

Divjot Kaur, loves to listen to music and play games, gives all the credit for her success to her parents and teachers.

According to TOI she lost one mark in social sciences. Daughter of a property dealer, Divjot aims to be an IAS officer and is currently preparing for the NEET/AIIMS exams.

2. Taru Jain from Jaipur

Taru Jain, from St Angela Sophia Senior Secondary School Jaipur, says she didn't study for more than 4-5 hours a day. She credited her parents, teachers and principal for the support she got.

"I want to pursue Economics (Hons.) from Delhi University," said the CBSE Class 10 topper.

3. Bhavana N Sivadas from Kerala

Student of Palghat Lions School, Koppam, Bhavana is the only student from Kerala to rank among the 13 national toppers. According to The Hindu, Bhavana did not burn the midnight oil for the exams. Instead, she played it smart by keeping fixed schedules.

The report states that she aims to finish her graduation from anyone of the IITs.
