After news broke of the Gossip Girl and Bluffy alum's passing at 39 on Wednesday, February 26, the media personality and photographer, 52, took to her Instagram account to mourn the loss. She shared an initial post on Wednesday afternoon, later updating the caption that evening.

Amanda de Cadenet shared a beautiful picture of a teenaged Michelle Trachtenberg as she mourned her demise. In her post, she also talked about speaking with the actress while she was on her hospital bed before her death, although she didn't specifically reveal why she was hospitalized. However, she has since amended her post.
"Sweetheart Michelle. What sad news this morning to wake up to. It feels weird and awful to be posting this, but I want to acknowledge your death because I cared about you,¡± Amanda wrote.
¡°I will always remember you as the young, vivacious woman I met when I took this photo of you¡¡± she continued. ¡°Seeing your face from the hospital bed when we FaceTimed recently, even though you did not look like you, your sweetness and humor were still alive."
¡°I will not share the details of our conversations over the last 6 months. But you knew that death was a high possibility," she originally wrote. De Cadenet later deleted the sentences.
¡°I am only sorry that the outcome was not a better one. Wishing you a peaceful transition, sweet friend, and may your spirit finally rest. ?,¡± the journalist concluded.
In a revised caption, Amanda de Cadenet has removed details from her original post, where she shared a heartbreaking memory of seeing her face in the hospital and the actress acknowledging the high likelihood of her passing.
