Pakistani TikTok star Minahil Malik has finally spoken out addressing the backlash she received over a private video that was leaked online. She found herself in the centre of controversy following the leak of the video which reportedly features intimate moments between her and her boyfriend.
The clip sparked heated discussions online and left the internet divided. While some people sympathised with Minahil and blended their support to her in this tumultuous time, others were not so understanding and labelled the leak as a publicity stunt.
Taking to her Instagram account, Minahil expressed her thoughts regarding the invasion of privacy and the netizens' response. She posted a message to address the backlash saying, "It was not easy for me but I¡¯m done. It¡¯s hard to say goodbye. No fights. Spread love. I¡¯m leaving. I will miss you. I love you. Take care."

Many of Minahil's followers were understanding of the TikToker's predicament and left encouraging comments on the post to showcase their support saying, "Stay strong Minahil don't be sad and Allah with you" and "No way dear ap strong bano"
On the other hand, some blatantly accused her of being the reason behind the leak and shamed her saying, "People like you are the reason of vulgar culture in our society. So stop playing the victim card" and, "Ab ya konsa naya drama ha it's a publicity stunt or what..."
Pakistani actress Mishi Khan accuses Minahil of leaking the video
Famous Pakistani actress took to her Instagram to share a short clip suggesting that Minahil leaked the video after the TikToker had already dismissed such rumours and accusations. While Khan never outrightly took Malik's name she made it clear with her comments that she was talking about the current situation.
In the video captioned, "Shameful to see these influencers stooping to the lowest level for fame & disgracing their families, parents & the society. They should be banned from using social media", Misha compared to Kareena Kapoor's film Heroins and drew parallels from it where a similar situation had occurred with Kareena's character behind the leaking of the video. She called the act "vulgar" and called for an end to such a "growing trend."
