¡®Mr Bachchan pranced around me like a bird-of-paradise¡¯: Zeenat Aman recalls ¡®sizzling¡¯ song shoot for Pukar
Veteran actress Zeenat Aman recalled filming the iconic song Samundar Mein Naha Ke with Amitabh Bachchan for the 1983 film Pukar. She described it as ¡®sizzling¡¯ yet challenging, revealing behind-the-scenes moments involving sand, seawater, and nerves. The song was Bachchan¡¯s first shoot after his recovery from the Coolie accident

Zeenat Aman has been serving some absolute gems on Instagram lately, and her latest throwback is no exception. This time, she¡¯s taken us back to 1983, to the wildly popular beach song ¡®Samundar Mein Naha Ke¡¯ from the film Pukar, where she starred opposite none other than Amitabh Bachchan.
As the summer heat crept in, Zeenat found herself remembering that steamy shoot on a deserted Goan beach. ¡®I won¡¯t be too coy to say that Mr Bachchan and I romancing to those salty lyrics are quite sizzling too,¡¯ she wrote cheekily. It¡¯s safe to say, no one does poetic sass like Zeenat Aman.
The actor shared a clip from the song and offered fans a candid account of what it was really like to shoot the now-legendary beach number. The actor also revealed that although the song looked effortless on screen, it came with its fair share of challenges.
¡®Prancing¡¯ Bachchan and a mermaid moment
Filmed on a deserted beach in Goa, the song became a pop-culture hit because of its catchy song, effervescent chemistry, and striking visuals. Aman put forth that she did not have much to do in terms of choreography or singing ¡ª her job was simply to ¡®look pretty,¡¯ dressed in a white outfit with just a little bit of midriff.
¡®¡®There I was, in the surf, while Mr Bachchan pranced around me like an ardent bird-of-paradise,¡¯ she said, rounding the whole anecdote out with a sense of humor.
Once again, this post was not only quirky, light-hearted, and reflective, but unique because it provided insight into one of Bollywood¡¯s most loved on-screen pairs.
