NASA Cancels The First All-Female Spacewalk Due To Lack Of Spacesuits In Women's Size
The first all-female spacewalk was set to be performed by American astronauts Anne McClain and Christina Koch at the International Space Station. However the historic moment seems to have been cancelled and take a guess why It is due to the shortage of spacesuits for female astronauts.
It was a very proud moment when earlier this month, NASA announced that the world¡¯s first-ever all-female spacewalk will happen on March 29. The first all-female spacewalk was set to be performed by American astronauts Anne McClain and Christina Koch at the International Space Station.

However, the historic moment seems to have been cancelled and take a guess why. It is due to the shortage of spacesuits for female astronauts. Both of them would require a medium-size torso component. But only one is readily available at the International Space Station.

NASA took to Twitter and wrote that Koch is still scheduled to participate, along with her fellow astronaut Nick Hague; McClain did her first spacewalk last week. But the first women-only venture stands cancelled for now.

¡°After consulting with McClain and Hague following the first spacewalk, mission managers decided to adjust the assignments, due in part to spacesuit availability on the station,¡± NASA said in a statement.
