At the drama's press call on February 12, the lead actors shared their thoughts on the upcoming series. When asked to choose which Wooga Squad member she enjoyed working with the most¡ªPark Hyung Sik, Park Seo Joon, or her current co-star Choi Woo Shik¡ªPark Bo Young has a surprising answer.

For those who may not be aware, Choi Woo Shik, along with Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, BTS' V, and Peakboy, is a part of a five-member friends' group, known as Wooga Squad. While Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik remain a favorite on-screen pair for their undeniable chemistry in the 2017 drama Strong Girl Bong Soon, the actress won critical acclaim for Concrete Utopia, co-starring Park Seo Joon.

The press conference for Netflix's original series Melo Movie took place on February 12th at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Seoul. The event was attended by the director, Oh Choong Hwan, as well as the main cast members, including Choi Woo Shik, Park Bo Young, Lee Jun Young, and Jeon So Nee.

During the event, Choi Woo Shik was asked if his best friends, Park Hyung Sik and Park Seo Joon, shared their experience working with Park Bo Young. He replied, ¡°Everyone really likes Park Bo Young. I heard so many times that she's kind and a good person, and now I understand why. She took care of me a lot on set, even supporting my mental well-being.¡±

After this, Bo Young picked Choi Woo Shik as her favorite co-star among the three Wooga Squad members. She said, "Among them, Woo-sik is the only one who is the same age as me. Acting with someone my age made me realize how comfortable it can be. I liked all three, but I felt most at ease with Woo-sik, so I think we had the best chemistry.¡±

She further heaped praise on the Beloved Summer actor, adding, ¡°For me, Woo Shik is like my laughter button. When I feel down, I'd want to look at him. He has so many endearing qualities.¡±

What is the Melo movie about?

According to Melo Movie's Asianwiki synopsis, the upcoming drama revolves around the dreams, love, and wounds of young people in the film industry. The main character, Go Gyeom (Choi Woo Shik), is a passionate movie critic who aims to watch every film ever made. His life takes a turn when he meets Kim Mu Bee (Park Bo Young), a woman whose name literally means "movie" and who has a complex relationship with the film industry due to her father's obsession with movies.

As Go Gyeom and Kim Mu Bee's paths cross, they bring change and excitement into each other's lives. Meanwhile, the story also follows Hong Shi Joon (played by Lee Jun Young), a talented but unknown songwriter who considers himself a genius, and his ex-girlfriend Son Joo A (played by Jeon So Nee), a screenwriter. The series explores the characters' journeys, relationships, and personal growth as they navigate their passions, traumas, and love lives in the competitive world of cinema.
