Sean 'Diddy' Combs to spend Thanksgiving in jail after losing third bid for bail before sex trafficking trial
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has lost his third bid to get out of jail before his sex trafficking trial. A District Judge alleged that the rapper has a history of violent behaviour and his release would pose a threat to the community. With this, the rapper's hope for a Thanksgiving dinner with family has also gone for a toss.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs will have to spend Thanksgiving behind bars as his third bail request has been denied. The rapper's desperate attempts to get out of jail ahead of his 2025 trial for sex trafficking charges have gained significant attention due to his lucrative bail packages. This time around, his attorneys had offered a house arrest for him with no contact with women who were not family along with other stringent measures.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs' third bail request denied
A District Judge on Wednesday (November 27) denied Sean Combs' request to be released on bail before his trial for federal sex trafficking charges. Lawyers for Combs requested a $50 million bond for his release, proposing a strict monitoring plan. Under the terms, Combs would reside in a three-bedroom apartment on Manhattan's Upper East Side, with 24/7 private security surveillance ¨C all at his own expense.
Diddy has a history of 'violent behaviour'
Quashing the music mogul's latest request, Judge Arun Subramanian ruled, "The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community."
He asserted that evidence "compellingly" suggests Diddy has a history of violent behaviour. Furthermore, the judge highlighted that his release while awaiting trial would pose a significant risk of witness tampering.
Rapper to spend Thanksgiving behind bars
With the current ruling, Combs's plans to spend the holiday season with his family have also gone for a toss. Despite his legal turmoil, Combs has found solace in the unwavering support of his mother, Janice Combs, and his children. They've been a constant presence at his court appearances, offering him strength and comfort.
However, this Thanksgiving will be a difficult one for Combs, who will be forced to spend the holiday behind bars, separated from the family he holds dear.

Lunch is served around 11 am, featuring a choice between a traditional turkey roast and hot and sour tofu, with side dishes including vegetables, mashed potatoes, gravy, bread rolls, and cranberry sauce. To top it off, holiday pie will be available for dessert.
Later in the day, from 4 pm onwards, inmates will be served a lighter snack consisting of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, fruit, and bread, the report mentioned.
Sean Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges
Despite multiple lawsuits and ever-emerging allegations, Combs has denied any wrongdoing. He is currently locked up in a detention centre across the East River from Manhattan in Brooklyn, New York. His trial will begin on May 5, 2025.
