'Didn't see the build-up': Redditors slam Lee Si An and Yuk Jun Seo's chemistry

Redditors are clearly not impressed by Lee Si An and Yuk Jun Seo's chemistry and have now taken to the subreddit r/singleinferno2 to discuss the recent episodes.

One user shared, "As someone who watches several other dating shows (Transit Love, Love Island, Love is Blind, etc.), I don¡¯t think there¡¯s anything wrong with two people who are interested in each other getting touchy. But the bed scene did feel off to me because they were both clearly drunk, which probably played a role in emotions being heightened. I also don¡¯t think it¡¯s fair for Sian to continue to say she¡¯s confused about her feelings yet cuddle with someone right after saying she liked someone else the most. Like Dahee said, she seems like she can be easily swayed, and that¡¯s something worrying to see in a potential partner.

Another user expressed disappointment with Si An and wrote, "I was rooting for Si An even beyond the ship with Theo because I felt she was different from the other it girls like Seulki and Jia.

But what do you mean? You were confused between three men; your top pick right now is Theo, and you keep thinking of him, but you went ahead to cuddle up with the third guy, whom you literally just went on a paradise date with, bruh.

Does that mean any decent and caring guy who spends time with her in the show will automatically become an option for her?"

Another confused Redditor wrote, "I was actually quite confused with the bed scene because their conversations before that scene looked very dry to me. I didn't see the build-up (or maybe I missed it?!). "

"This is the most forced, weird couple I¡¯ve ever seen on the show. I don¡¯t buy a single thing about it. The difference between Sian and Junseo¡¯s bedroom scene and hers and Jeongsu's is that Jeongsu chose not to take up her offer to sleep in the same bed. She knew Jeongsu for a few hours and already wanted to share a bed. In all honesty, I don¡¯t think Sian has depth with anyone on the show. Her emotions are fleeting, and she will chop and change on a whim. She doesn¡¯t like Theo; she likes his attention, and her ¡°feelings¡± for Jeongsu and Junseo are surface level. That¡¯s why she¡¯s confused all the time," another added.

One concerned viewer added, "To be honest, this scene made me uncomfortable¡­ I kind of felt that she was more inebriated than him and he should have declined knowing that. But then he took it a whole step further by touching her arm and then leaning himself over her. I had to pause it at that point because I didn¡¯t even know if she was even capable at the moment of giving consent."

However, some users also came out in Si An and Jun Seo's favor, commenting they are both consenting adults who just decided to follow their hearts.

One user wrote, "I think a lot of viewers are just used to the conservative nature of Korean dating shows in general; these guys aren't angels, and it's quite obvious to me that Sian is experienced in dating; she does not shy away from skinship at all, and Junseo definitely is not shy to make moves like we were led to believe initially."

Another defended the new couple, adding, "Everyone keeps forgetting the part where both parties said they will follow their own heart and the other person said, Do what you want to do, so no problem for them to sleep in the same bed because Junseo wanted to act that way and Sian pre-approved it."
