Age No Bar: After Attending Night School For Three Years, 50-year-old BMC Sanitation Worker Clears Class 10 Board Exam

According to reports, Ramappa works in the B ward of BMC's sanitation department. Three years before he attempted the exam, he enrolled in Universal Night School in Dharavi in Class 8 to start his preparation.
There is no 'right' age to achieve things in life, and this person's story is the latest example of this - a 50-year-old BMC sanitation worker has now managed to clear the Maharashtra SSC exam 2022 in his first attempt.

"I got 57%. I studied daily for 3 hours. My kids are graduates so they also helped me in my studies. I want to continue my studies and complete 12th also," he says pic.twitter.com/vPenUZUVPD
He would attend school from 7 pm to 8.30 pm every evening after work hours. He has been employed as a sweeper in the BMC for more than two decades.
He managed to score 54 in Marathi, 57 in Hindi, 54 in English, 52 in Mathematics, 53 in Science, and 59 in Social Sciences. He said that he studied every day after his work was over, and had the support of his family, children and colleagues.
"I got 57%. I studied daily for 3 hours. My kids are graduates so they also helped me in my studies. I want to continue my studies and complete 12th also," he said.
He shared that he was not able to study in his childhood but is glad that he has finally cleared his Class 10 board exams. He added that he wants to study further, and would also like to inspire others.
