'No Community Transmission Of COVID-19 In Delhi,' Says Amit Shah. Twitter Reacts
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has stated that there is no COVID-19 community transmission in Delhi. The National Capital has a total of 80,000 confirmed cases with the death toll standing at 2,558 right now.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has stated that there is no COVID-19 community transmission in Delhi, in an interview with ANI Editor Smita Prakash.
Shah said, ¡°I don¡¯t want to hide anything. I have spoken about this (community transmission) with the three most senior officers, right now this situation is not in Delhi. "
He added, "Such situation was seen because 30% of the tests done used to come positive. The reason was, tests were conducted late."
He further went on, "Now when we are doing 20,000 tests, this is not the situation. No such situation in Delhi, no need to worry,¡± said Home Minister on community transmission in Delhi. "

Other than this, he said that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India is going to win this war against COVID-19. He said that our country has fought well against the highly contagious disease and that our figures are much better as compared to the rest of the world.
He also said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is always kept in the loop when it comes to any decisions made for the national capital.

Delhi has a total of 80,188 confirmed cases with the death toll standing at 2,558 right now. The total number of cases around the world has crossed 10 million and people are placed in a wave of panic once again.
While some states like Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu refuse to lift the lockdown, others are fully-functional already.
The statement by Shah did not sit well with people who are taking in account the significant rise in cases.
