Andhra Man Live Tweets Telling Dad About Punjabi GF And We¡¯re Now Deeply Invested In This Relationship

When you're in a relationship, the hard part is always about breaking it to your parents. It's a territory, once trod, the outcome could go either way. Especially in an Indian household, it could nothing be less than opening a pandora's box.

While some are too afraid to share such conversations with their parents, others don't shy away from it. Being the latter, an Andhra man broke the news to his parents and live-tweeted the entire episode.

In the hilarious event, a Twitter user who goes by the name, @vivekraju93, shared the entire sequence of events. He began tweeting by first telling his parents about his girlfriend who hails from Punjab. Enjoying the dramatic turn of events, he tweeted Enjoying the dramatic turn of events, he tweeted that "these are fun times in the house," adding that though his mother is okay with it, his father appears dumbstruck!

Broke the news about my girlfriend to my parents last night. We are from Andhra. Girlfriend is Punjabi.

Fun times in the house. Mom is okay. Dad has gone completely silent.

In his next tweet, the man gets a bit into the graphic details of his father's reaction to the news. He wrote how his father is avoiding the conversation and hiding behind his phone.

However, a few minutes later, his dad seemed to be warming up to the idea and wants to meet the girl, the man wrote in the corresponding tweets. But still doesn't want a video call, the man playfully says of his father. His father rather insisted on meeting her in person.

Contrary to his father's lukewarm response, his mother seems all too excited and is already dreaming of her daughter-in-law, the man exclaimed in his next few tweets.

However, bringing all this to an end, as he gets ready for the office, he told his mother that his girlfriend doesn't need to fly down to meet them given the current coronavirus pandemic situation.

But not before poking fun at his parents, he humorously revealed that he has sent the tweet thread to his girlfriend.

In the last few tweets in the thread, he mentioned that his mother came up with an idea to send a few photos of his girlfriend to his father on WhatsApp to break the ice between the two. And that he has sent both of them each other's photos, though, there has been no response from his father's side as of now.

But the man is not worried. His father has seen the pictures because he could see blue ticks and that what matters to him, for now.

On the other hand, his girlfriend has already told her parents and they are totally fine with the union. "No drama. I doubt they are from India," he joked before ending his live tweet session.
