Apple Users Using iMessage Throw Shade At Everyone After WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram Stopped Working
Apple users couldn't help throwing shade at the world after WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram faced worldwide outages yesterday.
Facebook and all of its social media platforms including Instagram and WhatsApp were down yesterday making it the largest and longest internet outages in recent history. This happened at a time when a whistleblower went public with a lot of questionable Facebook practices inside the company.
Reported first by Arstechnica, the Facebook internet outage problem was first spotted at around 11:30 AM Eastern Time or around 9:00 PM Indian Standard Time on Monday, October 4, 2021.
As per the report, the source for this problem seemed to be major DNS failures at Facebook. However, the report highlights that the problem actually is much deeper than that. Instagram was down too, but, its DNS services that are actually hosted on AWS instead of Facebook¡¯s own network were functional.
Even though the world waited for these major app to start functioning, there were some people who couldn't care less about this internet outage. These people were the loyal Apple users who seemed devoid of everything else as iMessage worked fine for them. Now, iMessage is an additional app on Apple phones that helps people being connected to each other seamlessly.
Throwing massive shade, especially at the Android users, Apple fans smugly announced on Twitter why their ¡°iOS world" was a better one as only they had the luxury to the ¡°supreme" chat app. To no one¡¯s surprise, iMessage trended far and wide and Apple users threw a lot of shade on the world.
