Bengaluru techie's wife and in-laws get bail, internet expresses discontent: 'No one killed Atul Subhash'
Subhash accused his wife and her family of harassment, extortion, and false cases in a 24-page note and video. His parents are seeking custody of his son, citing concerns about his whereabouts. The case has sparked widespread discontent and debates about the judiciary on social media.
A Bengaluru court yesterday granted bail to Atul Subhash's wife and in-laws in an abetment of suicide case against them. Atul Subhash committed suicide on December 9 after alleged persecution from his wife and her family. Subhash's wife, Nikita Singhania, her mother, Nisha Singhania, and brother, Anurag Singhania, had applied for bail before the Bengaluru session court.
They had already petitioned the Karnataka High Court to direct the session court to decide their bail petition. The High Court directed the session court to rule on the plea today.
On December 14, Nikita Singhania was seized in Gurugram, while her mother and brother Anurag were apprehended in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The 34-year-old had left behind a video and a 24-page statement documenting his marital problems, harassment, and attempts at extortion by his divorced wife, her relatives, and an Uttar Pradesh judge.
He accused his wife and her relatives of driving him to suicide with "false" cases and "persistent torture". He further accused his wife of seeking Rs. 3 crore to settle the issue.

After the news came to light on the internet, people on the internet were left disheartened. Many questioned the Indian judiciary, journalist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj wrote in a post, "No one killed Atul Subhash." Here's how some other sad users on social media reacted.
