Autorickshaw Driver Does Elon Musk, Accepts Cryptocurrency For Fare, Netizens Say This Is 'Asli Vikas'

If you're not living under a rock, you might be well aware of cryptocurrency which might be taking over the market sooner than you think.

For the uninitiated, cryptocurrency is a virtual currency that can be exchanged online for goods and services. It is often referred to as "decentralized money," meaning that it is stored, created, and processed outside of a central bank or government, allowing transactions to be processed anonymously.

It basically eliminates the possibilities of double spending and counterfeiting and is often termed as the standard future of investment and currency.

Tesla owner, Elon Musk is one of the biggest supporters of cryptocurrency. Moreover, many countries and companies have slowly been accepting cryptocurrency as a mode of payment.

But obviously, it hasn't exploded in India yet. So, a picture of an auto-rickshaw accepting payments in cryptocurrencies started doing the rounds on social media and it has now gone viral.

The picture was taken somewhere in India but couldn't be verified where. The paper inside the auto-rickshaw quotes, "we accept cryptocurrency."

Now, people on the internet were more than surprised to see this and had a lot of reactions.

Thanks to his various tweets on cryptocurrency, the value of Dogecoin cryptocurrency also jumped by 22 percent in the month of May. He had just tweeted "How Much Is The Dog In The Window?" in reference to singer Patti Page's iconic 1950s song "How Much Is The Doggie In The Window?"
