Organisations and volunteers are trying to find pets lost in Beirut explosion and trying to reunite them with their owners.
After the explosion in Beirut on August 4 where over a hundred people have died and thousands injured, rescue operations are still on.
Apart from people there are organisations who are rescuing pets from the rubble, trying to reunite them with their owners.
One video from the inside of Lebanon Animals¡¯ premises shows two cats resting on a sofa when, suddenly a huge pane of glass came barrelling down, on them and then shattering on the floor.
"By the time we were able to get to the office ¡ because the cats were panicking ¡ they're climbing around, there's bloody cat footprints all over the place and two of the cats needed some emergency vet care for cuts on their feet,¡± Jason Mier, Executive Director of Animals Lebanon, told The National by phone.
After clearing out the glass, the team helped others.

¡°We were out until the early hours, helping people with their own pets, transportation, emergency vets, looking for lost pets and doing online coordination of lost and found pets and people that want to help,¡± Mr Mier reportedly said.
Mr. Mier has already received dozens of emails of people asking for help to find lost pets.

There are many videos doing the rounds showing pets reuniting with their owners in Beirut and they are heartwarming.
¡°Luckily there are people being reunited with their pets. Last night I think it was just very difficult because you couldn't even get down the road because there was too much debris in the roads,¡± Mr Mier said.
For some people, pets are like family and visa versa. Losing a pet is like losing a part of one¡¯s family. Kudos to the organisation and the volunteers who are helping reunite families.
