"We discovered that a Halloween party was recently hosted in this building. We cleaned up the building area by sprinkling Gangajal," MTA President Rahul Rokde told PTI. He called for judicial action against those guilty of the incident.
Dr. Sanjay Dixit, College Dean, remarked, "We had permitted representatives of a local organization known as the Jain Social Group to examine the King Edward Medical School campus. "We did not permit a Halloween party." He then stated that an investigation would be done.
How was the college vandalised?
Eyewitnesses said that the building's walls were covered in words inspired by a horror comedy film, as well as other frightening and vulgar messages. Pictures of the building posted on social media showed it decorated to appear haunted.
Dr Sumit Shukla, a graduate of the medical college and Superintendent of Government Super Specialty Hospital, expressed his concern, saying, "We cannot condone such behaviour because this building is a medical heritage and alma mater of many renowned doctors.
We want the building's refurbishment to honour the rich legacy of Indore's medical fraternity." Many countries celebrate Halloween on October 31, the day before the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. Popular culture now celebrates horror.
