Time For A Quick Meal! Man Cooks Bacon And Eggs On Fagradalsfjall Volcano's Molten Lava
While everyone witnessed the scene up close, one man decided to go a step further. He decided it was great time for a meal and tried to cook some bacon and eggs on top of the molten lava erupting from the volcano.
The Fagradalsfjall volcano in Iceland's Reykjanes peninsula erupted last week, for the first time in about 900 years.
A strong seismic crisis began in the area near Fagradalsfjall since late February, interpreted as intrusion of magma at shallow depth. This led to the first historic eruption of the volcano on 19 March.

Soon, thousands of people flocked to an erupting volcano to get a closer glimpse of the marvel at the hypnotic display of glowing red lava. While everyone witnessed the scene up close, one man decided to go a step further.
He decided it was great time for a meal and tried to cook some bacon and eggs on top of the molten lava erupting from the volcano.
Footage shows a man, believed to be Eir¨ªkur Hilmarsson throwing some solid breakfast items into the pan which is set on top of the bright lava.
Unfortunately, the lava eventually takes over the pan meaning no bacon and eggs for anyone apart from the volcano.

"This is my bacon. Better to be damaged. I was going to feed the boys after the walk and it just seems to be getting damaged. These were the only supplies, so there are only sandwiches and water for the rest," Hilmarsson told RUV.
Iceland has been experiencing frequent tremors recently because it sits on two tectonic plates - The Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. The country has recorded more than 40,000 earthquakes in the past four weeks.
