'Roz ka yahi kaam hai mera': Fitness influencer Rajat Dalal speeds at 143 kmph, hits biker on highway

Rajat Dalal, a self-proclaimed fitness influencer, who was granted bail in June after being arrested for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting an 18-year-old student over an Instagram post, has once again found himself at the center of controversy. This time, Dalal is facing severe backlash after being involved in a hit-and-run incident on a highway in the Delhi-NCR region. The shocking event, which was captured on video by a passenger in the rear seat of Dalal¡¯s vehicle, has sparked widespread outrage on social media.

Viral video reveals shocking details

The disturbing footage shows Rajat Dalal recklessly speeding through a congested highway, at one point accelerating to a dangerous 143 kmph. The situation took a turn for the worse when Dalal's vehicle struck a motorcyclist, resulting in a loud impact. The video captures the woman sitting beside him, addressing Dalal as ¡°Sir,¡± expressing her concern: ¡°Sir, sir, sir, gir gaya woh, aise mat karo (He has fallen down, please don¡¯t do this).¡± To this, Dalal responded nonchalantly, ¡°Woh gir gaya koi baat nahi (It¡¯s okay that he fell).¡±

Adding to the shock, Dalal is heard casually admitting, ¡°Roz ka yahi kaam hai ma¡¯am (This is my daily routine, ma¡¯am).¡± The video quickly went viral, leading to an outpouring of anger on social media, with many calling for strict action against Dalal.

The video was widely shared, including by prominent journalist and fact-checker Mohammed Zubair, where it has already garnered over 280,000 views and numerous comments.

Responding to Zubair¡¯s post, the Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad stated, ¡°This video has come to the notice of the district administration and Faridabad police. Although no complaint has been made to the police in this matter, the police administration has taken cognizance of this incident on its own and started action. The investigation is going on. Strict action will be taken against the culprit.¡±

Social media erupts in anger over the incident

The incident has triggered a wave of reactions across social media platforms, with users expressing their disgust and calling for accountability. One X user commented, ¡°Strong action should be taken against this. Humanity has vanished from people like these.¡± Another user expressed their frustration, saying, ¡°This is clear case of overspeeding and hit and run. What¡¯s tragic is he had no remorse.¡±

On Reddit, the video was shared in the subreddit r/IndiaSpeaks, where users further voiced their outrage. ¡°Seen countless videos of this guy doing rash driving, breaking tolls and what not. His DL should be revoked & he should be charged with BNS-118 for causing intentional harm & reckless driving,¡± one user suggested.

Others echoed sentiments of lawlessness and abuse of power in India. One user remarked, "He may have few judges in his family, but the state has the power to revoke DL. He shouldn't be allowed to drive any vehicle in India." Another user lamented, "India is a lawless country, and we deserve every bit of hate we get online and in foreign countries." A fourth comment read, "Man, this country has gone to the dogs. The state of lawlessness is incredible." Yet another user pointed out, "People like him are proof that laws were made to protect the rich and powerful."

In a related development, Aditya Chauhan, a lawyer based in Delhi, has filed a formal complaint against Dalal with the Delhi traffic police.

Towards the end of the viral video, Dalal is heard asking the woman beside him if she¡¯s ¡°one of those good human beings,¡± followed by his realization that the person in the rear seat had been filming the entire incident.

Rajat Dalal's earlier legal troubles

Rajat Dalal¡¯s recent actions are not an isolated incident. In June of this year, Dalal was arrested in Ahmedabad after assaulting an 18-year-old boy. The conflict began when the boy posted a selfie taken at Dalal's gym on social media, accompanied by a caption criticizing Dalal. Enraged, Dalal tracked down the boy, kidnapped him in his Thar vehicle, and, along with his associates, subjected him to brutal physical abuse.

The assault was recorded by Dalal and his associates, who forced the boy to endure physical humiliation, including applying cow dung to his face. When the boy lost consciousness, they urinated on him. The video of this horrific act was later released by Dalal and his accomplices.
