On Google Earth, Man Finds Image Of His Father, Who Passed Away 7 Years Ago
Twitter user @TeacherUfo said that during the pandemic, he had planned to look for his parents' house on Google out of boredom.
Over the years, people have used Google Earth to spot various things - from their own house, to finding people.
Recently, a man in Japan has found pictures of his father on Google Earth. His father died seven years ago and the man¡¯s tweet describing his discovery is being widely circulated.

He was shocked to discover, however, that the Google camera had caught his late father standing by the side of the road, walking up to him with his mother. 'I saw my father who passed away seven years ago,¡¯ he wrote, sharing two images of the street in Japan.
¡®My father must have been waiting for my mother to return home. My father was a quiet but kind man¡¯, he wrote.
He also requested Google not to refresh the street view picture for the spot. The tweet has received over six lakh likes and a lakh retweets since being released.

This is not the first time a Google Earth ¡®find¡¯ has gone viral.
Last year a video doing rounds on social media suggested that a Google Earth user apparently discovered what is believed to be a '400-foot ice ship' lying 160 km off the coast of Antarctica, in an iceberg.
The ice structure appeared to resemble a cruise liner (going by what seemed to be a line of windows) and was spotted on Google Earth, south of New Zealand. The video was shared by YouTuber MrMBB333 and in it, he explained the discovery in a very detailed 10-minute-long clip.
¡°Over the last 10 years I have become very familiar with our planet, the mechanics of it and how it reacts to many different aspects of space weather and many other things as well," he stated on his website.

In the video, a large chunk of ice can be seen sitting above a white landscape. However, when the view is changed to 3D, the chunk looks like a ship.
¡°You look down on it and it looks like the outline of a ship. This measures 400ft long, whatever that looks like, it looks like a ship. An ice ship if you want to call it ¨C a 400ft yacht just sitting there off the coast of Antarctica,¡± the YouTuber says in the video.
Later in the video, MrMBB333 shows his viewers another patch of ice which he says shows evidence of entryways and walls.
Google Earth seems to be a gift that keeps on giving.
