Ceccon, gold medalist in the 100-meter backstroke, recently aired his grievances about the Olympic Village accommodations. He described the conditions as less than ideal, noting, "There is no air conditioning in the village, it's hot, the food is bad," according to The Sun.

In an effort to make the 2024 Paris Olympics the "most responsible and sustainable Games in history," the Olympic Village features cardboard beds made from recyclable materials.

Athletes face issues with food at the Olympics
The quality of food for Olympic athletes is also problematic.
According to Andy Anson, Chief of the British Olympic Association, as reported by The Times of London, "There are not enough of certain foods: eggs, chicken, certain carbohydrates. And then there is the quality of the food, with raw meat being served to athletes."
