The traveller started by expressing their love for India, noting the many positive aspects of their journey. "First off, I will say that I like India," they wrote, highlighting the country's rich culture and the enjoyable culinary experiences.

"The food is tasty, one of my favourite food is steamed bun with peas, and 'rajma'," they added, also mentioning how they enjoyed shopping for beautiful Indian dresses at reasonable prices.

The user also appreciated the kindness of the locals, sharing, "most people are helpful when asked for help."

However, the traveller also described the intense challenges they faced due to the constant noise and sensory overload. "The environment is always very loud, it's so overwhelming," they admitted, revealing that the constant stimulation affected their emotional well-being.

"There have been times that I have broken down crying in my room due to the overstimulation."

One of the most difficult aspects of their experience was the constant noise. "The music is so loud, if someone is having a wedding far away, I will hear the music and firecrackers like it's happening right next to me," they explained, emphasising how relentless the noise could feel.

In addition, the blaring honks from trucks and traffic contributed to a sense of chaos. "The honks are almost always blaring, especially the trucks and it feels like complete sensory overload."

The traveller also shared their discomfort during celebrations, such as local festivals.

"There have been people celebrating minor festivals on the roads, completely blocking them and playing loud drums and music," they said. "I just wish things were quieter."

Despite the difficulties, the traveller remained understanding, acknowledging that they were a tourist and needed to adjust to India's environment. "But I'm just a tourist and must adjust to the country. I don't mean to be rude."
