IndiGo Pilot Provides T20 World Cup Score Update For Cricket Fan During Flight?
Something similar happened to a man on an IndiGo flight recently, but that's not all. He managed to get the score in mid-flight. Here's what happened.
If there is a cricket match going on, especially when India is playing, it's hard for the cricket lovers to sit back and miss the match. They would do anything to win the match. If not, they would at least like to keep up with the score.
In the age of OTT, it's not hard to get virtual updates of everything that is happening around the world. But imagine your favourite match is going on and you are on a flight, meaning your phone is in aeroplane mode, totally disconnected. You can't do anything but wait to deboard the flight and get the updates. Something similar happened to a man on an IndiGo flight recently, but that's not all.
He managed to get the score in mid-flight. Here's what happened.
IndiGo pilot wrote cricket score on a tissue paper for a passenger

A man named Vikram Garga was on an IndiGo flight on Sunday, the same day the T20 World Cup was also on and the competing teams were India and South Africa. Garga, being a cricket fanatic, was not happy being in mid air, without any signals, not watching the match, not being aware of the scores. The man naturally tried his luck and reached out to the flight attendants to ask for the score.
He was surprised when, after a while, he got a tissue from one of the cabin crew. It was not just a normal tissue paper, it had the match score that Graga was craving for. India sadly didn't win the match, but the pilot sure won Garga's heart with this small gesture. He tweeted a photo of the tissue with the caption, "India lost today, but @IndiGo6E won my heart." The pilot sent a note mid-air when requested for a score update. #momentsthatmatter."
The Twitter post went viral
Needless to say, the post was very well received by people on the internet and fellow cricketers. One man was of the opinion that such incidents should be highlighted more often. He tweeted in response to the post and wrote, "These pleasant gestures don't get highlighted yet any negative incident gets amplified .I'm sure there is a lot of hardwork behind the scenes which we don't get to know to keep the ball rolling which are taken for granted as passengers. They all need a shout out for the good work."

Even IndiGo noticed the tweet and replied from their official handle, "Hi, we're glad to see this. We wish to see you on board soon again.~Vaishali"

Another man wondered how the pilot has access to the internet, he wrote, " Pilot have internet access while on a flight and we don't?"
