The duo¡¯s Olympic routine landed them in 16th place overall out of the 22 teams who competed in the free routine.
The swimming event of the Olympics mandates a free routine that lasts up to 3-4 minutes. A technical routine has to be performed too, with five designated movements which last a maximum of 2.50 minutes. The participants are judged on the basis of their synchronisation, difficulty, technique and choreography.
This, however, is not the first time that foreigners brought Bollywood to the Olympics. Team USA's Meryl Davis & Charlie White paid homage to the rich tradition of Bollywood music and dance with their sensational performance at Vancouver Olympics 2010.
They beautifully ice skated on popular Bollywood songs - Kajra Re, Silsila Ye Chahat K and Dola Re Dola.
