Priceless Moments From King Charles's Coronation Trigger Hilarious Meme Fest Online, Here Are The Best Ones

Millions of people celebrated King Charles III's coronation, a monumental occasion that combined a religious service with theatrics. The King was crowned at Westminster Abbey, becoming the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned there since 1066.

Queen Camilla was crowned with him, followed by a massive procession returning to Buckingham Palace. The day of splendour and formality was completed with customs stretching back more than 1,000 years.

But as Charles III became the new king of the UK, the internet swiftly geared up for a meme fest. In the lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey, eagled-eyed meme-rs equipped with tons of wit made the formal occasion an all-out memes zone at the expense of the royal.

Although it was a significant time in royal history, social media users were able to discover the lighter side of King Charles' big day. During the coronation, the memes came in thick and fast, with several involving the main guy himself.
