No Surprises There: Man Tweets 'Indian Food Is Terrible' And No One In The Entire World Agrees
Twitter user Jon Becker tweeted &lsquoPlease quote tweet this with your most controversial food opinion I love controversial food opinions&rsquo Well that is exactly what people gave him- controversial opinions. Hundreds of comments started pouring in on the tweet with people sharing what they like and dislike. India got 99 problems but food ain¡¯t one.
If you are a person who does not like Indian food (and Indian here includes different cuisines from places like Rajasthan, Kerala, Bengal, Assam, Punjab among others) then the judgement is on you. Being as diverse a country as India is, cuisine from different states serves to different palates and I would understand if someone comes to me and says they do not like specific dishes but if someone says ¡®Indian food is terrible¡¯, they sure deserve a kick in their ass.

One person on Twitter did say that, and he did get virtually kicked in his ass, as one could.
The beauty of Twitter is that one can share unpopular opinions too and find people who relate, however when Tom Nicholas shared his opinion of Indian food, no one came out in his support, he was actually blasted for it.
This is what happened. A Twitter user Jon Becker tweeted, ¡®Please quote tweet this with your most controversial food opinion, I love controversial food opinions¡¯. Well that is exactly what people gave him- controversial opinions. Hundreds of comments started pouring in on the tweet with people sharing what they like and dislike.

One of these opinions was of Tom Nichols, a US professor and academic specialist on international affairs. In his opinion, ¡®Indian food is terrible and we pretend it isn¡¯t¡¯. Not only did it offend the Indians but food lovers world wide because hey, it's simply a lie.
Indian food is terrible and we pretend it isn¡¯t. https://t.co/NGOUtRUCUN

People armed themselves with knives and handis and attacked Tom left, right and centre, most of them pointing out the sheer diversity of Indian food. Here is what some people of Twitter felt about this comment.

This condition has a cure via the gastronomic brilliance that Indian food is which itself is vast, varying by geography, religion, region, language and even country. You have possibly never tasted such a spectrum of taste, aromas & spices in the US.Invite you to india to be our guest

The thing that gets me here more than the stunted palate is the use of ¡°we.¡± So, Indians in Tom¡¯s world are also ¡°pretending¡± that their cuisine is terrible? Or do they not exist in Tom¡¯s sense of community? I think we know the answer. https://t.co/PDBYPZDm6c
