'Most Beautiful Building On Earth': Dubai Throws Open 'Museum Of The Future', Its Newest Architectural Marvel

Adding another marvel to its truly incredible architecture, Dubai has thrown open the 'Museum of the Future', a structure it touts as the world's most beautiful building.

The museum officially opened its doors on Tuesday after much delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Museum of the Future is a seven-storey hollow silver ellipse decorated with Arabic calligraphy quotes from Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. The stunning architecture is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, the city's main highway, Khaleej Times reported.

The building's striking facade was lit up by a colourful laser light show in the evening as crowds gathered outside to catch a glimpse.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the iconic landmark during a grand ceremony that saw the Museum's exterior facade transform into a work of art.

As per Khaleej Times, during the opening ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said, "The Museum of the Future is a message of hope, a global scientific platform, and an integrated institutional framework to shape a better future for all of us."

"It embodies the active human imagination and the Emirati will that continues to excel the world. The Museum will be a forum for great minds, scientists, thinkers and experts from around the world," he added.

Last month, Dubai inaugurated the stunning 'Infinity Bridge'.

The bridge consists of six lanes and improves the link between Deira and Bur Dubai. It features a combined 3-metre track for pedestrians and cyclists, Khaleej Times reported.

What this bridge did is, it increased the total number of lanes crossing Dubai Creek from 48 to 60.

The wealthy UAE has made no secret of intentions to boost its soft power as a trading and tourism hub and to diversify its economy away from oil.

It has also sought to expand its space sector, sending its first astronaut into space in 2019 and a probe named "Amal" (Hope) into orbit around Mars in 2021 -- the first Arab country to pull off such a feat.
