The months of September 2022 and October 2022 were full of festivals and celebrations across the country. But in November, there are only 10 days when many private and public sector banks will remain closed due to additional bank holidays, including weekends. The month of November 2022 observes 10 bank holidays and the first holiday starts with Kannada Rajyotsav/Kut on November 1st. Other holidays like Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 8th will be observed bank holidays which are applicable to all banks in India except some states.

People will not face any problems with bank-related work as holidays are not frequent or at short intervals, and ATMs, cash deposits, online banking, and mobile banking will continue to function. These holidays may vary from state to state as holidays are determined keeping in mind the local festivals.
According to RBI guidelines, banks are closed on Sundays as well as on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, RBI has declared holidays on November 1,8,11, and 23. Apart from this, there are four Sundays in the month and also on the second and fourth Saturdays.
Apart from the weekend, there are four bank holidays in November according to the Reserve Bank's calendar. The central government has divided the holidays into three categories under the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881. In these three categories¡ªholidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act; Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Banks¡¯ Closing of Accounts.

1. November 1, 2022 (Tuesday) - Kannada rajyotsava/Kut
Banks will be closed on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava/Kut in Karnataka and Manipur on November 1, Tuesday. Kannada Rajyotsav/Kut is the Karnataka Formation Day that is celebrated every year on November 1.
2. November 6, 2022 (Sunday)-Weekly Holiday
Banks remain closed across the country on Sunday, November 6, 2022, a weekly off.
3. November 8, 2022 (Tuesday)-Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartika Purnima/Rahas Purnima
Banks are closed except in Tripura, Gujarat, Karnataka, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Kerala, Bihar, and Meghalaya. Guru Nanak Jayanti is more commonly known as Gurpurab. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, who was born on the day of Karthik Purnima (the first full moon in November-December) in the year 1469. This year, the 552nd birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru will fall on November 8.
Guru Nanak was born at Rai Bhoi Ki Talwandi, near Lahore, which is in the Sekhpura district of modern-day Pakistan. A Gurudwara was built at his birthplace in the city now known as Nankana Sahib. It's located in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
4. November 11, 2022 (Friday)-Kanakadasa Jayanthi/Wangala Festival
Banks will be closed due to the Kanakdas Jayanthi/Wangla Festival in Karnataka and Meghalaya. Kanakadasa, or Kanakdas Jayanti, is a public holiday in the Indian state of Karnataka. Kanakadasa, the poet, philosopher, and musician, lived and taught here. He lived a long life of a hundred years, from 1509 to 1609. He had received a good education and was a soldier. But once badly wounded in a battle, he gave up that profession and entered the creative world of literature and music. He started writing poems at a very young age, and much of his work is still very popular today.
5. November 12, 2022-Second Saturday of the month
Banks will be closed due to the second Saturday of the month on November 12, 2022.
6. November 13, 2022 (Sunday)-Weekly Holiday
Banks remain closed across the country on Sunday, November 13, 2022, a weekly off.
7. November 20, 2022 (Sunday)-Weekly Holiday
All the banks in the country will remain closed on their weekly off on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
8. November 23, 2022 (Wednesday)-Seng Kutsnem or Seng Kut Snem
Banks remain closed in Meghalaya on November 23, 2022, on the occasion of Seng Kutsnem. Seng Kut Snem is the day before Khasi New Year, which is a traditional festival celebrated by the Khasi Community in Meghalaya on November 23rd each year.
9. November 26, 2022-Fourth Saturday of the month
Banks across the country will be closed on the fourth Saturday, November 26, 2022.
10. November 27, 2022 (Sunday)-Weekly Holiday
Banks remain closed across the country on Sunday, November 27, 2022, a weekly off.
