Aussie Residents Plant A Tree In Pothole To Get Local Council To Fix It
The photo went viral on social media after it was shared on Facebook. The residents were praised by many netizens for their cheeky idea.
Potholes aren't new on Indian roads and at some point we've all seen just how lackadaisical certain local bodies can get when it comes to getting the problem fixed, taking months and maybe even years.
Residents of this Australian housing society have come up with an innovative solution to fix potholes, one that Indians can follow. They literally decided to plant a tree in the pothole and draw the local council's attention to it.
People living in the Diamond Creek area in Melbourne have been facing a lot of problems because of an uncovered pothole right in the middle of the road. As per the locals, the hole has damaged several vehicles and poses a risk for children. Despite all the problems, the local council has not taken any steps.

In Diamond Creek, we have a massive pothole on the only crossing on the road at the railway line to get to the other side of the rails.
No one will fix it properly. Someone did spray paint a ring around it. Last night one of the locals had had enough.
