We have a love hate relationship with our family, but imagine having a family size of an entire community; a family of 150 relatives, all your brothers and sisters, not even cousins? On TikTok, a 19-year-old boy named Merlin Blackmore shared secrets about his Polygamist-cult family. He revealed that he grew up with one father, 27 mothers, and 150 siblings in a cult-like family.
The Sun has called it ¡®the largest Polygamist Family in Canada¡¯ on record.
This family¡¯s head is 64-year-old, Winston Blackmore. According to reports, he is settled in Bountiful, British Columbia, where he lives with a large polygamous family. Three of his children have come out to speak about their experiences in public.
Aside from Merlin, Muray (who is also 19) and Warren, 21, took their story to social media sites to post. Since they felt ashamed, the brothers used to conceal their family secrets, but they eventually opened up.
Merlin, the youngest of the three, no longer lives with the family, and has moved to the United States. ¡°I've wanted to talk about this for years. Now I'm in a position I can, the world is going to know,¡± he said in a TikTok.

He revealed how the family functioned with so many members. There were 27 women, but only 22 of them had kids with Winston. Of those 22, 16 remain still married to him. The kids were taught to address their birth mother as ¡®mum¡¯. The named father's other wives were addressed as ¡®mother¡¯, followed by their first name.
Warren, the older brother, revealed that having two wives per house with their small children was the general setting. One floor of the house was to be occupied by each wife.
Of the wives, two of the three sisters were married to Winston. And four groups of two sisters were there. Murray considers himself a triplet because on the same day, two other children from two other wives were born.
The family was so large that they have sort of their own community. The family farmed their own produce, and farming duties were given to the children. Their quaint culture is against the law, however. In 2017, Winston was accused of practising plural or 'celestial' marriage. He spent six months under house arrest.
The three brothers have left their families now and are living separately. They do remain in contact with their siblings.
