COVID-19 cases in India are rising sharply and the total number has crossed the one-million mark. Though things are looking better in areas like Mumbai’s Dharavi slum and in the national capital, there’s a ticking time bomb being ignored: That of used PPE kit disposal. Apart from the pollution that plastic PPEs cause, there’s the risk of infections that can be set off. Incorrect disposal has been seen in a lot of cities and that's worrisome.
