2020 is going to be remembered as the year of hand-washing, which all of us know, is the most basic hygienic habit. Unfortunately, it was all triggered by the spread of the deadly pandemic-the coronavirus.
With more than 1,38,000 coronavirus-positive cases reported across the world and over 4,900 lives lost, everybody is doing their bit to stop the novel virus from spreading further. Social distancing and hand washing are now the most important steps in halting the spread.
A recent viral video shows a teacher dipping a student¡¯s fingers in a dish of black pepper flakes floating in water. After that she asks them to observe the flakes on her hands. A few seconds later, the teacher dips her fingers in the soap before dipping it back in the black pepper water.

As soon as he soapy finger in the water, the pepper flakes get repulsed due to the soap on her fingers. While concluding the video the teacher can be heard saying, "You see how important it is to wash your hands with soap?"
In a similar bid to teach school kids the importance of washing hands, Shauna Woods, a teacher at Hallsville Schools in Missouri, stamped students' hands at the start of the day.
She even gave them the promise of a special gift at the end of the day if they had the ink off.
After one day of the test, Shauna said the school kids were scrubbing their hands multiple times a day in a bid to win the prizes, reports The Sun.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have taken an uncompromising stance on the way handwashing should be done, particularly to prevent a COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
The instructions are to wet your hands with clean water, lather soap on every last spot of your hands, scrub (and sing) for at least 20 seconds, and then rinse.
