Now, a handwritten note by the Queen is going viral, written to her grandson Prince William. The note was shared by a royal fan account which goes by the name Real Royal Mail.
The note was written on the Buckingham Palace stationery. It read, "William, I hope you enjoy opening this each day, Granny." the note reportedly surfaced two months after the queen's death.
The tweet from Real Royal Mail stated, "A card written in the hand of #QueenElizabethII & sent to the young #PrinceWilliam obviously along with an advent calendar. It was purchased from a former employee of #PrincessDiana."

According to the Daily Mail, this note, which was undated, went up for auction in December 2016. At that time, it was reportedly expected to fetch 1,400 pounds.
Notably, the British monarch died on September 9th this month. When the queen died, Prince William wrote, "She was by my side at my happiest moments. And she was by my side during the saddest days of my life. I knew this day would come, but it will be some time before the reality of life without Grannie will truly feel real. "
