The composer then offered her a chance to record three songs for his film Happy Hardy and Heer. Her songs are titled Teri Meri Kahani, Aadat and Aashiqui Mein Teri 2.0. Teri Meri Kahani is already out and has created a lot of buzz online.

The singer recently went to a reality show called Comedy Stars, where she performed the hit song from the 1995 film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge called Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jaana Sanam and it's a hit again.
Ranu Mondal is all set to see her life story on the big screen. Reportedly, independent filmmaker Hrishikesh Mondal is planning to make a biopic on her.
According to an IANS report, National Award-winning Bengali actress Sudipta Chakraborty has been approached to play the role of the singer in the biopic titled ¡®Platform Singer Ranu Mondal¡¯. The film is going to chart the journey of of this ¡®platform singer¡¯ and how from being just another face at the Ranaghat railway station, she became a star.
The biopic will be shot in Ranu Mondal¡¯s hometown Ranaghat, Mumbai, and Kolkata, and will probably be released in February next year.
