Indian-Origin Sirisha Bandla Finally Went To Space Last Night On Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity 22 Spacecraft
Sirisha Bandla, vice president of government affairs and research operations at Branson¡¯s Virgin Galactic flew to space with Richard Branson and others.
Dreams really came true for Indian-origin aeronautical engineer Sirisha Bandla who finally flew to space on Sunday, 11 July and became the third woman of Indian origin to travel to space.
She is among the five people who are part of billionaire Richard Branson's flight Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo Unity to make a journey to the edge of space from New Mexico.
The official Twitter handle of Branson's Virgin Galactic shared videos of the crew members including Bandla hopping and jumping in zero gravity in space.
In the video, Branson said, "To the next generation, if we can do this imagine what you can do. "
