Delhi's IGI Airport Gets Tag Of 'Best' And 'Cleanest' Airport In India, South Asia
Hamad International Airport has been named as the World¡¯s Best Airport for the second year running, announced at the 2022 World Airport Awards that were held at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Paris, France on June 16, 2022.
Aviation ranking firm SkyTrax has unveiled the top 100 best airports in the world for 2022.
Skytrax aviation rating firm has released its annual World Airport Awards 2022 list and three Indian airports have made it to the list. Among the best airports in the world, Skytrax has listed Delhi Airport at 37th rank, rising from 45th rank last year. Bengaluru Airport is at 61st position compared to 71st position in 2021. Hyderabad Airport has been ranked 63rd followed by Mumbai Airport at 65th position.

Hamad International Airport has been named the World¡¯s Best Airport for the second year running, announced at the 2022 World Airport Awards that were held at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Paris, France on June 16, 2022.
Other major winners include Singapore Changi Airport, winning awards for the World¡¯s Best Airport Staff Service and the World¡¯s Best Airport Dining; Istanbul Airport won the awards for the World¡¯s Best Airport Shopping and the Most Family Friendly Airport. King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh secured the award as the World¡¯s Most Improved Airport.
As per the report, Tokyo Haneda Airport won awards as the World¡¯s Cleanest Airport, the World¡¯s Best Domestic Airport, the Best Airport in Asia and the Best Airport PRM & Accessible Facilities.

Nagoya¡¯s Chubu Centrair International Airport was named the World¡¯s Best Regional Airport; Copenhagen Airport won the World¡¯s Best Airport Immigration Processing award, and Zurich Airport repeated its success by winning the World¡¯s Best Airport Security Processing award.
Since 1999, Skytrax, an aviation rating company, has funded a global airport customer satisfaction survey branded as the Passenger's Choice Awards. Now in its 22nd year, the company continued the annual tradition despite the impact of the pandemic.
