Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great pomp and show, especially in Maharashtra. Massive roadshows, visarjan, etc. take place. However, due to the coronavirus-induced pandemic, it won't be the same this year since large gatherings are discouraged and people are advised to practice social distancing. People have been asked to remain at home to celebrate the festival.
However, this has not dampened any spirits. People have come up with creative ways to commemorate this day. Many created the idols with eco-friendly materials to promote a healthy environment and also taking a step towards becoming self-reliant.
