'Love Above All Else': Swedish Woman Flies To India To Marry Her Facebook Friend In UP

To illustrate that love has no borders, a Swedish woman recently traveled to India to marry a man she met online. The Swedish bride traveled over 6,000 kilometers to wed her soul mate.
Christen Liebert tied the knot with Pawan Kumar, a local of Etah, Uttar Pradesh, whom she had met on Facebook before making the trip to India.
According to ANI, the couple tied the knot on Friday in line with the rituals and traditions of Hinduism in a school located within the area.
Christen, dressed in an Indian wedding outfit, and the groom can be seen exchanging garlands during the varmala ceremony in the wedding video.
The woman who met Pawan Kumar on Facebook in 2012 said she had been to India.
"I have been to India before, I love India, and I am very happy about this marriage," the Swedish woman said.

ANI reports that the couple got married on Friday following the rites and customs of Hinduism at a local school.
The groom¡¯s father, Geetam Singh, said their happiness lies in the children's happiness. "We totally agree with this marriage," he said.
Last week, a 19-year-old woman from Pakistan was taken into custody in Bengaluru on suspicion that she had entered India illegally to marry a man from Uttar Pradesh.
To reach Mulayam Singh Yadav, the woman, who has been named Iqra Jeevani, crossed into India from Nepal last year.
She matched up with Yadav, a 25-year-old security guard, through a dating app.
According to PTI, she was detained by police in Bengaluru on suspicion of using a false name to remain in the country.
