Swiggy sets Guinness World Record for delivering 11,000 vada pavs to underprivileged kids
Swiggy, in partnership with the Singham Again team, set a Guinness World Record by delivering 11,000 vada pavs to disadvantaged children in Mumbai. The vada pavs, from MM Mithaiwala, were distributed to schools supported by the Robin Hood Army, an NGO fighting hunger.
Swiggy, in collaboration with the Singham Again team, provided 11,000 vada pavs to disadvantaged children in Mumbai, setting a Guinness World Record. This popular fast food from Maharashtra was served in a single delivery to various places in India's financial centre. The vada pavs from MM Mithaiwala were supplied to youngsters supported by the Robin Hood Army, an NGO that combats hunger by distributing leftover food throughout Mumbai.
The first visit was to Airport High School & Junior College in Vile Parle, where Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty, and Swiggy Co-founder Phani Kishan were handed the order. The vada pavs were supplied to schools funded by the Robin Hood Army in Bandra, Juhu, Andheri East (Chandivali and Chakala), Malad, and Borivali.
