Uttar Pradesh: During Teacher's Farewell, Students Cry Inconsolably And Refuse To Let Him Go
Images of a teacher bidding farewell to his children while they wept and hugged him went viral in a region of Uttar Pradesh where school attendance is generally meager.
Teachers have a significant role in shaping our personalities during our formative years. One of the most heartwarming bonds is the one between teachers and students. On social media, one video that shows how crucial teachers can be to a child has been going viral.
Farewells are not always easy, especially school farewells. It's tough to bid goodbye to your favorite teacher considering the memories you make while learning. Images of a teacher bidding farewell to his children while they wept and hugged him went viral in a region of Uttar Pradesh where school attendance is generally very low.
School children crying and refusing to let go of a teacher who has been transferred is a scarce sight, especially in Uttar Pradesh.
The video that has gone viral on the internet is bound to make anyone emotional. Shivendra Singh was recently transferred after four years at the hilly Raigarh Primary School in Chanduali.
Videos from his farewell on Tuesday show a more significant number of students hugging and weeping for him. Some students grip him tightly and won't let go. Mr. Singh tries to reassure them while smiling, but he does seem to be sobbing.
Besides being popular for his teaching methods, Shivendra Singh is also considered a good teacher by his colleagues at the school. He had been showered with gifts and praise earlier in the event from teachers and students.

"I will visit you soon," he was heard telling some students. To others, he said: "Keep studying hard. You must do well."
Officials and students think Mr. Singh's unconventional teaching methods and ability to capture his students' attention led to his immense popularity.
During one of their interactive sessions, he frequently appeared on the floor, surrounded by young kids.
In 2018, he was appointed as an assistant teacher at the school. He used games and social media to spread awareness among kids, increasing enrollment at the school, which had previously had low enrollment due to the rugged terrain.
"We used to play cricket in the hills. I would try and use every means to make them aware of the world. It is extremely sad to leave these children, but I have to," Mr. Singh said.
