No dream is unachievable, and proving the same is a vegetable vendor's daughter in Madhya Pradesh who achieved her childhood dream of becoming a judge.
Overcoming several hurdles, 29-year-old Ankita Nagar from Madhya Pradesh¡¯s Indore became a civil judge after she cleared the recruitment examination in her fourth attempt.
Speaking to PTI on Thursday, Ankita said despite failing to clear the recruitment exam thrice, she did not deviate from her goal of becoming a judge.
¡°I have cleared the civil judge Class-II examination in my fourth attempt. I don¡¯t have words to express my happiness,¡± Ankita said.
Ankita¡¯s father, Ashok Nagar, is a vegetable vendor in the Musakhedi area of the city.
After completing her preparations for the examination, she said she even used to help him in his work.
"I wanted to become a doctor, but its studies cost much more, so I began to prepare for civil judge examinations instead. I did most of my studies on a government scholarship," Ankita told news agency ANI.
Delighted with the phenomenal success of his daughter, Ankita's father said that she has set an example by not losing courage despite having to face an arduous struggle in life.
He said that he and his wife compromised a lot over the past six years for her education, and Ankita studied without any privilege and cleared the exam.
"We are proud of her. " Ankita's parents said no one should force their daughters to marry but rather get them educated," Ankita's parents said.
An LLM master's degree holder, Ankita wanted to study law since childhood, and while pursuing her bachelor's degree in law, she had decided to become a judge. After commencing her stint as a civil judge, Ankita said she would focus on ensuring justice for anyone who comes to her court.
