They began descending to the Moon's surface at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, and they successfully landed at 6:04 p.m. as planned.
India achieved two historic things: becoming the fourth country to softly land on the Moon (joining the United States, Russia, and China) and being the first to reach the Moon's South Pole with Chandrayaan-3, especially after Russia's Luna-25 mission failed recently.
