A woman who believed she was going on a fantasy date in Hawaii was dumped by her Tinder match at a volcano.

According to the New York Post, Julia DaOrazio was on vacation on Hawaii's Big Island when she matched with Jerry on Tinder.

The two met in downtown Kailua-Kona, and DaOrazio was immediately captivated by his drawl and warm demeanor. "The conversation flowed, and we quickly discerned that we had similar tastes in music, ways of travel, and a shared love for working the glutes," she went on to say.

DaOrazio stated that she informed her date that she had leased a red Mustang convertible for the trip. The two then traveled to some nondescript areas. She informed Jerry what she wanted to do in Hawaii. They then opted to begin with the "easiest and closest activity" on the list.

What actually happened?

According to the Post, the couple's first trip was hiking the Makaula O'oma route. "Like many of Hawaii's trails, it was naturally shaded by lush jungle, yet that didn't do much to cool us down," she told me.

"After pumping the leg muscles, the beach called, and we soon headed to La'Aloa Bay Beach - known locally as Magic Sands for its shifting seashore - to wash off the sweat," she went on to say.

Two of them admitted to having a great time together and planned to meet up again to cross another trip off their list. Two days later, they met at DaOrazio's house, but the woman instantly detected that "something was off" with Jerry. "I tried to figure out what was going on and hoped to turn that frown upside down."

After all, we were about to go on a nearly three-hour road drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which has two of the world's most active volcanoes," she explained.

This struck DaOrazio by surprise. "What? We've just arrived! "We drove three hours to get here," she explained, puzzled. "Yeah, I'm going to hitchhike my way back into town," he said.

Near this point, DaOrazio knew she had been abandoned near a volcano. "I hit depression in Earth's gloom. Was working with my firm that unbearable? I was shocked. I've never had a boyfriend walk out on me, let alone at a volcano. "That's a first," she said.
